Our exploration into bio-luminescent lighting

We got together with superbug biologist, Dr Siouxsie Wiles, and talented glass blower, Issac Katzoff, to create a bio-luminescent pendant and installation to explore what kind of possibilities it may have for interior lighting. Our journey was documented on a television documentary that is soon to be released. Our conclusion was that while we believe it can make a fairly beautiful ambient light source as well as living art piece, it is not suitable for tasking lighting. We are aware that bio-luminscent lighting is being explored as an exterior light source in Barcelona and Paris, which we believe could be a good idea for carbon neutral lighting.
